MEN IN BLUE WATER

The aesthetics of the body as sculptural form coupled with luminous water and the effect of water reflected on skin is the subject of these pictures.  Again, I see these images best expressed as large format digital prints – life size and larger.  I love the art of the masters of color and form – artists like Milton Avery, Richard Diebenkorn and Elsworth Kelly.

I see the MEN IN BLUE WATER pictures in a new book as lessons learned from artists who distill the elements of their work to perfectly balanced compositions that radiate life and light. In an imperfect and often messy world, I find comfort and beauty in abstractions that describe the perfection of life glimpsed in a moment.
